July felt both oddly relaxing (we stayed close to home for the whole month) and crazy busy at the same time. Spending time outdoors on the weekends was a theme for us this month.
Around here we are taking little opportunities to sneak away and enjoy this beautiful weather. A trip to the beach, the children’s art museum, SD’s new waterfront park or for an outdoor concert. We are watching movies under the stars, enjoying melting ice cream, serving up local cuisine (like farm local), painting shoes, planting, baking sugar cookies, working hard, playing hard.
It doesn’t feel like August should be here already! This past month has flown by pretty fast. I love these posts because it reminds me that life is full of so much more than all work and no play. Even when it feels like a very stressful week or even month, we still manage to do something amazing in the little seconds we have to be creative and free. It could be an actual something, or it could be just lying with my girls in the grass at our neighborhood park and watching the clouds. The girls are such a wonderful reminder of what’s most important!
Happy relaxing, productive, beautiful weekend :).
PS more Everyday Stuff posts. Because sometimes life goes by so fast that you forget to capture the good moments.

So much fun squeezed into one little month! This whole year has just flown by, hasn’t it? Looks like you’re doing a great job making the most of those moments with your family.

Love your low brown boots! Where did you get them?

Oh thank you! Nordstroms, but I will check the brand and get back to you :).

Dolce Vita from about two seasons ago! I noticed that Steve Madden has a similar pair (aptly named ‘Morrgan’).
