Before & After: Lampshade Refashion

Lampshade Fabric Refashion

I mentioned earlier last week that one of my FAVORITE ways to spice up a room in an unexpected way is to incorporate a pattern or surprising color right on a lampshade. I shared my favorite homemade versions during last week’s post {Etsy is so marvelous!} but promised a quick How-To for everyone to try on their own.

And with that, I’d like to introduce the ever-talented All Things Lovely blog that shares the 1, 2, 3 for recreating! It really isn’t so difficult, and while my crazy schedule tends to lean towards the where-can-I-buy-this mode, my wallet and crafty conscience screams but-it’s-so-easy! And this is the perfect solution to those beautiful remnants that might be lying around! {Alright, now out to Etsy to search for an amazing block print fabric!}

Oh-So-Yummy Ice Cream Dessert Buffet!

Ice Cream Dessert Buffet!!

I stumbled across this adorable ice cream dessert buffet by Amy of Eat Drink Chic while perusing some of my favorite blogs (thanks Little Ant Design blog!) and had to share it with you! I think it’s absolutely fantastic — from the candy pink theme to the perfect little labels (which, by the way, are available as free template downloads at the original post!).

Ice Cream Buffet 2

This easy buffet bar allows the hostess to build a crafty dessert center with very little food prep — 100% of your buffet could be store bought and no one would think twice about it! Plus, it allows guests to customize their own special treat, making the dessert delicious & fun! The free label downloads are so darling and ideal for any dessert buffet, from a wedding to a kid’s party.

A Little Sunday Morning Decorating Inspiration…

Bathroom Inspiration

Here are a few ideas for a quick bathroom update from The Nest:

{1} I love the bohemian theme of bright walls and a block print shade
{2}
or the crafty necklace display (your own art!) in the second photo
{3} the clean lines and fantastic contrasting colors and textures found in the third picture
{4}
and finally the striped walls that make this bathroom work so well in the final pic

I hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday!
