These girls are fabulously innovative with that {effortlessly glam} appeal that keeps you coming back for more great ideas. Their company, Lollipop Events & Designs, offers delightfully original decor solutions and their blog is fantastic!

I love the way that subtle nuances of everyday inspiration — such as the typography of a vintage poster or the bold patterns of fashion week — leave a tangible impact on their beautifully styled events (more on that in the interview). While you can just imagine the work and talent that lies behind the prep and creation of each of their celebrations, each and every one comes off as blissfully uncomplicated and fantastically chic. Their inspiration is accessible to the everyday designer, and that’s why they make an excellent addition to the Friday blog series!

Autumn is Here… Bring on the Party

I can’t believe it’s already FALL! How did that happen so quickly?! I’m excited for cozy sweaters, hot cocoa and my leather riding boots (LOVE fall fashion)… but I can think of one more reason to get giddy! Fall parties! A great way to announce the new season is by centering your next get-together around an Autumn theme. I’m resurrecting Hostess with the Mostess’s Fall Party post from last November’s Real Parties series to bring you these beautiful DIY tablescapes and decorations. And because when Jenn originally shared over at HWTM, I loved it TOO much!

Courtney Toney of Joyful Weddings & Events shared these amazing pictures and crafty ideas with HWTM: “My husband and I decided to start the tradition of throwing a party on the first day of each new season. If your home is anything like mine, finding extra space in the house for an office, craft room or supply area is hardly feasible… which is why I’m SO inspired by these fantastic, closet-to-office makeovers, and I hope they might bring a bit of inspiration to your home as you consider whether that art room or extra desk can fit in seamlessly!

Think of all of the great nooks & crannies in your home that could be made over. Closets, for the most part, are underutilized and poorly ordered — pulling everything out and re-alloting your closet space with the correct proportion of shelves, bins and boxes is a Saturday afternoon’s worth of work (but well worth it!). If you’re lucky enough to have an empty closet for ‘your’ space — it’s time to consider what mod wallpaper print you’ll put up, what brilliant paint color you can find and how to finish a quick DIY desk (just one giant shelf with extra supports… but we’ll talk more about that after the jump!)
