You guys. It’s been so long since I have pulled out a real (and by that I mean not iPhone) camera. Those SLRs can be really clunky to carry around, right? especially when you’re toting a baby… or 2. But the photos! Love the freedom to adjust, adjust, adjust. I spent last weekend up in Santa Cruz, California – my old stomping grounds – with my brother and family for his graduation. While there we celebrated Father’s Day with a long hike that started at an old farm called Wilder’s Ranch. One of my favorite places to spend an afternoon.
Took the last two photos the day earlier, I’m not sure I have a smiley photo of the three of us? Also, I post-edited several of these photos with A Beautiful Mess’s photoshop actions (I love petal and magnolia best right now).
Kevin couldn’t join us on this trip because of work, we celebrated Father’s Day with him the weekend before. Love you, Dad! What a fun day to spend with my girls, my brothers and sister, my family.
Oh my goodness, could these photos be any more beautiful?? Especially the all-girls pics! :)
(Time to break out my “real” camera again!)
Such BEAUTIFUL pictures! It was like taking a mini-vacation just looking at them :)
Too bad that Kevin couldn’t join you on your Father’s Day adventures — kind of unexpected to see a Father’s Day post without daddy, but you made it work ;)
I know exactly what you’re talking about with cameras and kids. I’m always worried that I’ll end up breaking the camera while running after one of the kids – so the iphone works really well for those moments. Anyway, these pictures area all gorgeous. It’s making me really miss all the hiking trails from when I lived in Virginia. Sorry to hear that you didn’t get to spend Father’s Day with your Husband. It looks like you made the best of the situation, though!
It’s been a while since we’ve been for a long walk/hike outdoors. I loved it! We did miss Kev :(.
