Around here, we are: watching Taylor pull herself up to a standing position! She’ll be walking in no time and she has just started crawling (happy and sad tears). Enjoying flowers that look of spring, hiking big mountains with a girl on each of our backs (Livy was going for a yoga pose in that pic below but resembles a little cheerleader – optical illusion that she’s on the edge of the mountain :)).
We’re also practicing drawing thank you notes with steady hands, touring Kev’s job site (a hospital his company is designing here in San Diego) and admiring the view from the top, taking a spare moment to caramelize the pecans for a lunch salad (guilty pleasure), playing with friends in the jump house at Sea World, gravitating towards doctor play from princess dress up and preschool – then back again, smiling at how the silly relationship between these two little munchkins evolves. Feeling thrilled (and well rested) after Taylor moved from cosleeper to her crib in the nursery.
Also, I ordered one of those Spatty’s from Shark Tank and am finally using up that last 20% of most of my makeup. Scotch Gard claims to be the ultimate stain protector – I’m putting it to the test by spraying down my favorite kitchen barstool cushions (where Liv frequently enjoys breakfast, lunch and unreasonable amounts of coloring).
Does this week feel totally thrown off because of the Monday holiday? Hope you’re having a great mid-week day!
PS While we’re on the everyday subject… 25 everyday things you never knew had names…
Hi – I’ve been following your blog for a number of years but I’m trying to break my silence more :) The picture of Liv on the rock is so cute and awesome!
Just wanted to reply to your comment and thank you for saying hi! I love that picture too.
Look at those big beautiful eyes, oh, my! Liv and Taylor are growing so fast. I’m glad you explained about that scary pic of Liv dangling on the edge of a precipice! :D
She’s a daring one! But really she was just standing on a rock 2 feet off of the ground, and the angle of the camera makes it look like a drop off ;P.
Great selection of photos!!!
Taylor’s getting so big! I can’t believe she’s already crawling and pulling up. And that picture of Liv posing on the side of the mountain is too funny. I’m also jealous that Taylor is able to sleep with so much light in the room. Both of our girls need it to be as dark as possible.
I’ve been working on that since day 1 – my goal is napping regardless of noise or light! Makes for a heavy sleeper :).
your girls are gorgeous! love liv posing! that spatty looks pretty cool! how did i miss that episode? do you ever think–why didn’t i think of that?! lol!
All of the time! Totally!
