As of last week my maternity leave is over and I am back at work full time. It’s been a challenging adjustment and by the end of the day I’m so ready to hit the couch and zone out with a new episode of Revenge (just discovered the show – very addicting. We’re still on season 1). Nine out of ten times that doesn’t end up happening, but on the sweet nights that I curl up in PJs, computer in hand, I won’t deny a bit of internet perusing. Or shopping. Less shopping these days and more perusing. Oh what a tease :).
Here is what has caught my eye recently:
These gold flats look like a great summer-to-fall shoe and I can picture pairing them with rolled skinny jeans as the weather gets a bit cooler (we’re having record heat in San Diego). As I continue to pull the girls’ room together, I keep eyeing cute wooden toys that I’d like to display on their new bookshelves, this forest set might be at the top of the list! Our office gets a decent amount of sun, maybe a succulent in a cool hanging planter would do well? I’m tempted to try…
I picked up a similar pair to these beautiful turquoise earrings on sale at Francesca’s a while back but these gem drop earrings are very reasonably priced for an Anthro accessory. Tea has released their kids clothing fall collection and this dress might be one of my favorites! I shop eBay for gently used versions of last year’s dresses for the girls because their prints are so adorable.
Check out the huge sale going on over at Urban Outfitters, including this great tripod table (reminds me of the two-tone look that I worked on for Liv’s table and chairs last year). And finally, I’ve had this jeweled necklace in my virtual shopping cart for a while but I don’t want to pay shipping and I don’t want to spend $75… oh what a conundrum.
Alright, head out of the computer and back to which character is Emily’s latest target… (no judging, filling up my virtual shopping cart and watching TV are two of my guiltiest pleasures that rarely happen anymore ;). Sigh). More inspiration boards and plenty of pretty perusing right here!
Isn’t that the best at the end of the day? We are the worst Netflix subscribers because we catch up on our DVD or shows like twice a month – but it’s the best when it happens.
I totally get the desire to curl up on the sofa with a good show at the end of the day (says the woman who is currently on the sofa watching old episodes of Cheers with the husband!) The necklace and earrings are gorgeous…and I love the hanging planter too!
