I love this idea! Can’t wait to try out this project for a decorative accent in my kitchen. I’d like to link your tutorial as an inspiration if that would be alright?

Hi Amber,
I do have a cheap, easy idea for your magnetic chalkboard – use a magnetic primer under your layer of chalkboard paint. Just be sure to follow the directions on each because you’ll find that you need something like three even coats of the magnetic paint to make it as strong as necessary and just one thin coat of chalkboard paint on top.
Let me know how the project goes!! Would love to see pictures :).

I have this same project going, but I want to also make it magnetic. Sheet metal and cutting is soooo expensive. Any cheap ideas?
